| A man of princely bearing, advancing down the gathering hall. His tread is delicate, and he greets with lazy grace the many friends who hail his entrance. Tall and lithe, his tunic is silk colored wild rose, embroidered in gold with the representation of flowers and thunderbolts. Jewels glitter on his left hand, and a gold fillet gathers the luxurious pleats of blonde hair. His trousers are likewise laced in gold thread, and from his belt a small, narrow sword, the hilt rough with beryls and black diamonds. His face is beautiful to look upon, and his statement one of gentle melancholy, mixed with wry amusement; but fiery glints awake at intervals in his eyes, and the lines of swift determination hover about the mouth beneath his small, dapper moustache. | |
